A FIFTY YEAR WAR

The New York Christian Coalition stands in full and unconditional support of the nation of Israel in its actions to defend itself against Hezbollah. We call on Americans everywhere to stand with us in unflinching support behind Israel, which has become the point of the spear in this war against Islamofacism.

Some have called it World War III. We agree. September 11, 2001 brought into the light what had been, until then, brewing in secret terrorist training camps all around the globe.

When we deposed Saddam Hussein, and went into Iraq we found that a brief and quickly won war against a tyrant dictator had quickly morphed into a fifty-year war against an ideology bent on the destruction of the West. The brotherhood of islamofacists are warring against liberty. They will never stop until they win, or they die trying.

The typical conventions of war do not apply to a people whose identity is caught up in the destruction of Israel. This is their reason for living, and for dying. They sincerely believe that killing, and even dying for “Allah” is a good and noble thing. This mindset places them beyond the limits of reasonable discourse. Any talk of peace or cease-fire is a strategic move on their part to rebuild and regain strength for the war that must be fought to the finish.

President Bush flushed out the terrorists into the open in Iraq. Now it’s all-out war. We must understand that this is like no other war we have ever fought. This is a war of ideologies. It will never be won until the next generation of future Jihadists is won over by the ideas of freedom and democracy. We are looking at no less than a fifty-year war to change the minds and hearts of millions of people. I question whether or not it can be done, but we must try, or succumb to tyranny.
It will be the children of the children of today’s Jihadists who may stand a chance to bring sanity to this sect of Islam.

We will never win this war with bullets alone. We must win the hearts of the next generation while we neutralize their fathers who would rather die warring against the west than talk peace with “The Great Satan.” If they choose to die than we must help them do so before they kill us. Then we must teach the principles of democracy, and the blessings of liberty, if there is to be any chance of real peace for coming generations.

There must be no talk of “proportionate response.” This is not a game where “You take my pawn, so I’ll take yours. “ No. This is war. The only acceptable proportionate response is the total neutralization of terrorist forces around the globe. Until then -and I am convinced it will be for no less than fifty years- we must continue to fight and support Israel with all that we have. The next generation of free people depends on no less.

Joe, I detect a note of anti-semitism in your coments. Israel simply wants peace, and that is why we must pray for the peace of Jerusalem and stand by them.

Israel hasn't wanted peace in fifty years plus. What they do want is piece, from the Mediteranian to the Jordan river.

Here's what their leadrs have said;

David Ben Gurion Prime Minister of Israel 1949 - 1954, 1955 - 1963

"We must expel Arabs and take their places."
-- David Ben Gurion, 1937, Ben Gurion and the Palestine Arabs, Oxford University Press, 1985.

"We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population."
-- David Ben-Gurion, May 1948, to the General Staff. From Ben-Gurion, A Biography, by Michael Ben-Zohar, Delacorte, New York 1978.

"There has been Anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?"
-- Quoted by Nahum Goldmann in Le Paraddoxe Juif (The Jewish Paradox), pp. 121-122.

"Jewish villages were built in the place of Arab villages. You do not even know the names of these Arab villages, and I do not blame you because geography books no longer exist. Not only do the books not exist, the Arab villages are not there either. Nahlal arose in the place of Mahlul; Kibbutz Gvat in the place of Jibta; Kibbutz Sarid in the place of Huneifis; and Kefar Yehushua in the place of Tal al-Shuman. There is not a single place built in this country that did not have a former Arab population."
-- David Ben Gurion, quoted in The Jewish Paradox, by Nahum Goldmann, Weidenfeld and Nicolson, 1978, p. 99.

"Let us not ignore the truth among ourselves ... politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves... The country is theirs, because they inhabit it, whereas we want to come here and settle down, and in their view we want to take away from them their country."
-- David Ben Gurion, quoted on pp 91-2 of Chomsky's Fateful Triangle, which appears in Simha Flapan's "Zionism and the Palestinians pp 141-2 citing a 1938 speech.

"If I knew that it was possible to save all the children of Germany by transporting them to England, and only half by transferring them to the Land of Israel, I would choose the latter, for before us lies not only the numbers of these children but the historical reckoning of the people of Israel."
-- David Ben-Gurion (Quoted on pp 855-56 in Shabtai Teveth's Ben-Gurion in a slightly different translation).

Golda Meir Prime Minister of Israel 1969 - 1974

"There is no such thing as a Palestinian people... It is not as if we came and threw them out and took their country. They didn't exist."
-- Golda Meir, statement to The Sunday Times, 15 June, 1969.

"How can we return the occupied territories? There is nobody to return them to."
-- Golda Meir, March 8, 1969.

"Any one who speaks in favor of bringing the Arab refugees back must also say how he expects to take the responsibility for it, if he is interested in the state of Israel. It is better that things are stated clearly and plainly: We shall not let this happen."
-- Golda Meir, 1961, in a speech to the Knesset, reported in Ner, October 1961

"This country exists as the fulfillment of a promise made by God Himself. It would be ridiculous to ask it to account for its legitimacy."
-- Golda Meir, Le Monde, 15 October 1971

Yitzhak Rabin Prime Minister of Israel 1974 - 1977, 1992 - 1995

"We walked outside, Ben-Gurion accompanying us. Allon repeated his question, What is to be done with the Palestinian population?' Ben-Gurion waved his hand in a gesture which said 'Drive them out!"
-- Yitzhak Rabin, leaked censored version of Rabin memoirs, published in the New York Times, 23 October 1979.

"[Israel will] create in the course of the next 10 or 20 years conditions which would attract natural and voluntary migration of the refugees from the Gaza Strip and the west Bank to Jordan. To achieve this we have to come to agreement with King Hussein and not with Yasser Arafat."
-- Yitzhak Rabin (a "Prince of Peace" by Clinton's standards), explaining his method of ethnically cleansing the occupied land without stirring a world outcry. (Quoted in David Shipler in the New York Times, 04/04/1983 citing Meir Cohen's remarks to the Knesset's foreign affairs and defense committee on March 16.)

Menachem Begin Prime Minister of Israel 1977 - 1983

"[The Palestinians] are beasts walking on two legs."
-- Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, speech to the Knesset, quoted in Amnon Kapeliouk, "Begin and the 'Beasts,"' New Statesman, June 25, 1982.

"The Partition of Palestine is illegal. It will never be recognized .... Jerusalem was and will for ever be our capital. Eretz Israel will be restored to the people of Israel. All of it. And for Ever."
-- Menachem Begin, the day after the U.N. vote to partition Palestine.

Yizhak Shamir Prime Minister of Israel 1983 - 1984, 1986 – 1992

“Neither Jewish ethics nor Jewish tradition can disqualify terrorism as a means of combat.” Is Israel, therefore, not built on terrorism and the perversion of Jewish ethics and tradition?
-- Yitzhak Shamir

"The past leaders of our movement left us a clear message to keep Eretz Israel from the Sea to the River Jordan for future generations, for the mass aliya (=Jewish immigration), and for the Jewish people, all of whom will be gathered into this country."
-- Former Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir declares at a Tel Aviv memorial service for former Likud leaders, November 1990. Jerusalem Domestic Radio Service.

"The settlement of the Land of Israel is the essence of Zionism. Without settlement, we will not fulfill Zionism. It's that simple."
-- Yitzhak Shamir, Maariv, 02/21/1997.

"(The Palestinians) would be crushed like grasshoppers ... heads smashed against the boulders and walls."
-- Isreali Prime Minister (at the time) Yitzhak Shamir in a speech to Jewish settlers New York Times April 1, 1988
Benjamin Netanyahu Prime Minister of Israel 1996 - 1999
"Israel should have exploited the repression of the demonstrations in China, when world attention focused on that country, to carry out mass expulsions among the Arabs of the territories."
-- Benyamin Netanyahu, then Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister, former Prime Minister of Israel, speaking to students at Bar Ilan University, from the Israeli journal Hotam, November 24, 1989.
Ehud Barak Prime Minister of Israel 1999 - 2001
"The Palestinians are like crocodiles, the more you give them meat, they want more"....
-- Ehud Barak, Prime Minister of Israel at the time - August 28, 2000. Reported in the Jerusalem Post August 30, 2000

"If we thought that instead of 200 Palestinian fatalities, 2,000 dead would put an end to the fighting at a stroke, we would use much more force...."
-- Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, quoted in Associated Press, November 16, 2000.

"I would have joined a terrorist organization."
-- Ehud Barak's response to Gideon Levy, a columnist for the Ha'aretz newspaper, when Barak was asked what he would have done if he had been born a Palestinian.
Ariel Sharon Prime Minister of Israel 2001 - present
"It is the duty of Israeli leaders to explain to public opinion, clearly and courageously, a certain number of facts that are forgotten with time. The first of these is that there is no Zionism, colonialization, or Jewish State without the eviction of the Arabs and the expropriation of their lands."
-- Ariel Sharon, Israeli Foreign Minister, addressing a meeting of militants from the extreme right-wing Tsomet Party, Agence France Presse, November 15, 1998.

"Everybody has to move, run and grab as many (Palestinian) hilltops as they can to enlarge the (Jewish) settlements because everything we take now will stay ours...Everything we don't grab will go to them."
-- Ariel Sharon, Israeli Foreign Minister, addressing a meeting of the Tsomet Party, Agence France Presse, Nov. 15, 1998.

"Israel may have the right to put others on trial, but certainly no one has the right to put the Jewish people and the State of Israel on trial."
-- Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, 25 March, 2001 quoted in BBC News Online

What America needs is to return to an "America First" foreign policy that places American interests first, instead of those with an alien agenda and loyalty to a FOREIGN cause (Israel)
May I remind you that Israel is killing Lebanese and Palestinian CHRISTIANS, while Israelis themselves reject Christ and are therefore, as Holy Scripture tells us, anti-Christ. Cyrus Schofield and the whole dispensationalist nonsense he spouted were bought and paid for by the ADL.

A clarification about Bill Banuchi's employment of the "anti-Semitic" insinuation where "Joe" is concerned is definitely in order.

In the first place, the Dispensationalist position on prophecy which undergirds most of the pro-Israel sentiment within American Evangelicalism is provably a phenomenon with a 19th century origin. The orthodoxy of the Protestant Reformation would say that Dispensationalism is wrong on the issues of the covenants, the nature of the Kingdom of God, and who constitutes the Israel of God today. And the whole interpretive scheme which allows for a 2000+ year parenthesis between the 69th and 70th weeks of Daniel chapter 9, needs to be re-examined. See www.historicist.com or Dr. Oswald T. Allis's classic "Prophecy and the Church."

Aside from this, the question of the peaceful character of Israel needs to be examined more closely. Does Bill support the Zionist blowing up of the King David Hotel in 1948 which killed many innocent civilians? Or the slaughter of defenseless Arabs at Deir Yassin? How about the Israeli assassination of Swedish UN Representative Count Bernadotte? Or the entire methodology of the Israeli Mossad as documented by British author Gordon Thomas in "Gideon's Spies?" Does Bill have a problem with the actions of Israel in the Pollard spy case or the PROMIS affair (where Israel and Communist China cooperated in the purloining of American nuclear secrets at Los Alamos laboratory)? And what about the recent revelations in the Israeli press that Menachem Begin was provably involved in a plot to assassinate German chancellor Konrad Adenauer?

All of this may be connected to the warnings of the Apostle John in his message to the church of Smyrna in The Apocalypse, chapter 2, verse 9: ". . . I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan."

Bill,
Joe is a friend of mine and I resent your mischaracterization of him.
Caring for civilians affected by war is the essence of true Christian charity. For you to attribute a racial bias to this fruit of the Spirit in a Christian brother is inexcusable. You owe him an apology.
Sincerely,

Mr. Banuchi's use the slur, "anti-semitism" in this instance (i.e. Joe's post) is tantamount to the typical slanderous cries of "racism" or "bigotry" by members of the radical Left such as Jesse Jackson, and Senators Clinton and Shumer.

It is indeed a sad reality that much of modern Evangelicalism (e.g., the Christian Coalition) is infected with anti-scriptural Dispensa-tionalism/Zionism. The reality that duped believers support our unconstitutional war policies in the Middle East is an affront to Biblical orthodoxy, Just-War doctrine and our republican form of governance.

The UN-created socialist, anti-Christ, pro-abortion state of Israel, of course, wouldn't permit the Christian Coalition or anyone else to preach the Gospel publicly, anywhere on its turf.

Is there another gospel that American taxpayers and military forces should know about to warrant the sacrifices favored by
Mr. Banuchi?

Beruit, Baghdad, Washington and Newberg are in as much need for prayer as Jerusalem, as are we all.

Calling Joe Eldred an anti-semite was a public insult, in my opinion, reflecting serious discredit on the New York Christian Coalition and its membership.

Why is the issue always "anti-semitism" and the saving of Israeli lives and making "Israel' safe." An obsessive orientation like this underscores the fundamental racism of the Zionists. What about anti-Christianism, saving the lives of Arab-Christians and making Lebanon and Palestine safe for Arab people? The fact is, Orthodox Judaism is racist to the core and teaches that gentiles are a species of sub-human. This is the missing key to understanding Israeli policy. Orthodox Judaism is the modern survival of the ideology of the Pharisees, Jesus Christ's chief protaganists. How can a Christian make an alliance with the modern successor to the ideology which Christ declared was from hell?--Michael Hoffman, author of "Judaism's Strange Gods"

I just want to keep this simple (because I don't have time right now to go into
more detail):
When we purpose in our heart to Bless and Pray for Israel, and stand with him,
we are in the position of Our Almighty's Heart's Divine Desire. I applaud you
for taking a strong stand to align yourself with Israel. I don't say this by
ignoring any wrong doings on Israel's part throughout history, but plead with
My G-D to show Israel his Salvation and Kinsman Redeemer soon and for him to do
t'shuvah (turning away from sin).
May you and your family continue to be strengthened for the battle ahead in the
Mighty Spirit of our Living G-D !

Shalom,

I don’t have time to get into much detail now, but there are two important points that I would like to make in response to those who criticize my support for the nation of Israel. I do this in the spirit of Augustine: “In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty and in all things love.”

1. My support for Israel’s right to defend itself (not support for Israel, per se.) is not based on Israel’s past or Israel’s future. It’s based on the present situation:

a. Israel is the only democracy and strong ally we have in the Middle east.
b. Israel is not the aggressor in the current conflict (It was never the aggressor in past conflicts)
c. Israel is the tip of the spear in our war against Islamofacism.
d. Israel is surrounded by nations bent on its destruction

2. The Bible teaches that all nations and authorities are raised by God, including Israel. The U. N. may have been that ungodly organization that God used, but the Bible is clear that Israel, along with every other nation and authority is raised up by God, (Romans 13 and many other). That’s a good subject for study. Remember Pharaoh?

3. Not only is Israel “anti-Christ,” but the whole world is anti-Christ and deserving of our love and compassion.

Has anyone noticed that Christian fundamentalists seem the most eager to label this "WWIII"? Meanwhile, the mainstream media won't even call it war; it's "turmoil" or "crisis".

but the Christian fundies seem absolutely pumped for a holy war of, dare I say it, biblical proportions. Rapture, here we come!

I have a suggestion for you. Build large camps in the middle east, europe and america. Call them labour camps and start collecting all muslims and other religious and ideological wrong thinkers and bring them to the camps. Then dispose of them in an apropriate way, much can be learned from the "final sollution" in Germany and eastern europe in the 1930-40´s. This is the only possible way to correct the problem you adress here, the muslims won´t change their mind in 500 years and the only way to make them go away is destroying them.
Just like Hitler tried to do with the jews, communists, gipsies and mentally retarded in the 1930´s. I´m sure this can be fitted into the neoconservative agenda, Ledeen and Kristol will not have any problems with this,
just make sure that the official agenda and explanation of the camps are about "democracy" and "defending democratic values", "christianity" etc.
Good Luck !
ps
If Jesus against all odds decided to come back he wouldn´t even bother to kick you out of the temple, christianity is humane, unselfish, caring and humane. Not evil.

Thank you Rev Banuci for you stand on is Isreal. This ia a more than a fifty year fight. It started with the rebirth of the modern state of Israel. In 1947 the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. They testify to Isiah and Daniel ansd the Prophets. In 1948 Isael was made a nation again. This is all about the great and coming day of the Lord.
The Jewish people will have "peace" when they see the "Prince of Peace" coming in the air. Yeshua is coming!
